The Magic is in the Follow Up!
Systems make the Magic happen.

I love marketing. I can teach you all the amazing marketing magic in the world, but if you don't have a system for following up with your leads and actually enrolling them or closing the sale, then all of your marketing is worthless.

If you are sitting on piles of emails and contact info from people who WANT your services, then we have work to do.

Goals:
1. Get people on the phone with you.
2. Build your email list so you can continue to "drip" on your leads without being too pushy.
3. Write monthly newsletters and send to your entire list. This keeps you in front of your leads and clients, without appearing too pushy.
4. Keep it simple!

Follow Up from a Conference

1. Be prepared before the conference. Bring Inquiry Forms and pens, to write down contact info as you meet and talk to people. (The key is getting THEIR info, not just giving them yours.)
2. Bring Shock and Awe folders of information to hand out.
3. Have something they can purchase and bring home to "sample" who you are (I sell my book).
4. When people are expressing interest, write down as much contact info as possible on the Inquiry Form.
5. Take a picture of the form and text it to your admin back home.
6. Admin inputs their information into MailChimp and into a spreadsheet to track their status.
7. Admin emails them and invites them to book a call (use your Schedule Link that is already ready to go with your available times to talk).
8. Admin tracks on the spreadsheet when they were invited to book a call. Admin follows up 1 week later, asking them to book again (they get busy and overwhelmed at conferences. Admin should follow up every week for 4 weeks. Then back off but leave them on your MailChimp list to be dripped on.)
9. Leads that do not book a call should get your weekly or monthly emails. We call this "drip marketing." Never take them off your list, unless they unsubscribe.
10. I recommend keeping a list of physical addresses and mailing a postcard or a letter 2-3 times per year. Emails get lost and sometimes go to spam. Doing a physical mailing is more work, but worth it when they are a "warm" lead.
11. After a conference, the goal is to book a call with each person who wanted to talk to you. It may take a few emails, but don't give up!
12. The second goal after a conference is to build your list. Every person you meet goes on your MailChimp email list and you continue to drip on them forever!

Follow Up from Facebook

1. When someone expresses interest in your services on Facebook, via a group or Messenger, you need to take fast action and give them an opportunity to schedule a call with you. First, ask for their email address (so you can have their contact info).
Then, give them your link to book a call via FB Messenger. This link is on your website, but it is not in your menu. It is a "hidden" link. It should be easy for you to remember.  Mine is: https://www.neveralonebusinessservices.com/new-project-call.html
I always go to my browser and copy and paste the link to the lead. NOTE: I have a visible link on my website that is for a "get to know you" call. This link is for a "new project" because most likely, if they are reaching out on Facebook, they know who I am already.
2. Email your admin and tell them that this person is going to book a call. Admin should track if the call did indeed come through or if more nudging to schedule is needed.
3. If you already have this person's email address, have the admin also email the link, inviting them to book a call.
4. If they didn't schedule right away, have the admin email them with specific openings in your schedule that they can say yes to.
5. Admin: put their email address in your list in MailChimp.

Leads from Your Website

1. When someone fills out the "Request Info" form on your website, your Admin should take FAST action. The company that responds the fastest wins.
2. Immediately call the person OR email them (depending on your industry).
3. If you called and they didn't answer, leave a voicemail. Then, email them and say: "I left you a voicemail, but I wanted to email you, as well." Then, insert a canned response (a saved email in Gmail that you've already written) that gives them information about your services and invite them to schedule a call, using the scheduling link.
4. Add them to your list on MailChimp.
5. Send them your Shock and Awe packet of information in the mail, if they gave you their address.
6. Create a reminder/alert/task to follow up with them around 3 times over the course of approx 5 weeks (give or take).
